The building located at 28, L. Asatiani St. was built in 1905 by Tbilisi architect Alexander Ozerov. The building was built as a private school for noble women, which was founded in 1888 on the basis of Madame Serpine's private school for women. Later, it was named the Women's Gymnasium. The owner of the boarding house was the well-known winemaker and merchant M. Ananov. The building built in pseudo-Gothic style is one of the brilliant examples of Tbilisi architecture. The foundation of the building was laid on April 23, 1903, and it was consecrated on January 9, 1905.
