2 Freedom Square

The reconstruction of the former council and administration building of the city, located at 2, Freedom Square, was carried out in 1882-1886. The interior planning belongs to the architect of Russian origin, Alexander Ozerov, and the facade decoration is by the German architect, Paul Stern. Stylistically, the building is built on a pseudo-Moorish style and is one of the interesting architectural samples of the 19th century, which has an important role in architectural planning.
