Information in details
The building located at 27, D. Agmashenebeli Ave. belonged to the famous Tbilisi entrepreneur and oil magnate - Alexander Mantashev. Standing on the corner of Davit Agmashenebeli Ave. and Zakaria Kurdiani Street, the large enough two-story building is important from the point of view of the spatial planning of these streets or, in general, city planning. Undoubtedly, it plays a big role in the development of the district, especially in "tandem" with the building with the same style (29, Davit Agmashenebeli Ave.), which practically occupies the entire quarter. The facade solution of the building operates with motifs borrowed from the repertoire of the modern "Art Nouveau" architectural style, although the facade, in general, is characterized by moderation and restraint. The interior of the entrance deserves attention, where there is a mosaic floor and a staircase decorated with an iron railing with art nouveau floral ornament. The spatial organization of the residential house practically includes all traditional components; According to the local tradition, it has a large and quite dark inner courtyard, invisible to the street, which offers an open facade with wooden ornamental balconies. This is a rare and lucky case when, despite the alteration-distortion of the first floor, the balcony of the second floor has been preserved almost intact.
