Davit Agmashenebeli Ave

Information in details

The old Georgian brick-built, modest-sized two-story residential house at 21, D. Agmashenebeli Ave. dates back to the middle of the 19th century; It is one of the oldest buildings on Agmashenebeli Avenue. The only architectural feature of the building's narrow facade is a wooden balcony. The keeled arches supported by wooden Doric columns and the transparent railing, as well as the arched doors and windows of the second floor, indicate the antiquity of the house (the building was restored in 2016). As is known, the wooden balcony houses characteristic of Tiflis in the early 19th century were replaced by larger European-style buildings towards the end of the century, which significantly changed the look of the city over time.
