Davit Agmashenebeli Ave

Information in details

The early 20th-century building located at 170, D. Agmashenebeli Ave. was significantly damaged by fire in 1990. After that, the building was reinforced with iron-concrete constructions, and the 27th Tbilisi Public School was located in the building. The main facade of the linear building facing Aghmashenebeli Avenue stands on the red line on two sides with a risalite gable, and the volume decorated with a bay window placed on the axis of symmetry is recessed into the depth. Decorated with large openings, false-arched loggias, a portico with a terraced roof, and austere decor, the building has an eclectic look, although it is easy to recognize the signs of the modern Art Nouveau style, as well as the influence of Art Deco. The coastal decoration is quite plain; His list includes medallions and merlons decorated with roses and flower garlands. The cell of the entrance, which is given the appearance of a portico, is interestingly decided. The entrance vestibule is decorated with a mosaic floor and a marble staircase with an iron railing.
